Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After determining what the goals for our class are, I create lessons to teach art theory, skills, techniques, and subjects that move us closer to our goals. It is a very personalized experience because we limit our class size to less than 9 artists. We enjoy working with those who have always been interested in doing more art, but never got around to it until now. Children's weekly classes run in semesters like the school year.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BFA from the University of Notre Dame and worked as an art dircetor and product developer for over 14 years. After I left full-time employment to raise my family, I started volunteering in my child's school to teach art. It was such a great experience that the demand for my services eventually lead to my own studio! I have all of the child safety clearances and criminal background checks that are needed to work with children. Sharing art with people of all ages is my passion!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
One-time seasonal supply fee of $50 covers everything your artist needs for the season of Sept-Dec. Each 90 minute session is $22 or four class pass is $80 saving 10%. Our classes are always pay-as-you-go! Cash, check, or credit cards accepted.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy the one-on-one portfolio prep I do with aspiring HS students for art scholarships.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please call and talk with me! We may just create a class for you and your request. We habe a minimum of 3 for adult classes, 8 for paint parties, and 5 for kids' classes.
