R.Schneider Art Studio
About
Teaching others how to connect with themselves, their life experiences, and their creativity one easy lesson at a time. No prior art experience needed- I am able to host socially distant lessons on my beautiful 4.5 acre studio in Gilbert, PA, or I am happy to have lessons via Zoom, FaceTime, etc. A set of lessons is the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy for person who just needs a little creative push and fun, easy virtual company during this crazy time!
I LOVE helping others find ways to express themselves through art. There really is no better feeling than helping someone get to know their own innate creativity better. I often learn much more myself in the process! :)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk with the student and understand their initial ideas about what they'd like to learn. I then like to show them different styles of art to see what they are most interested in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been creating art since before I could read- it is a lifetime passion of mine. I studied art at Mary Baldwin College under Shay Herring. I then opened a brick and mortar art gallery/boutique where I sold my own work, and also the work of 40 other artists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons range from $25-$50 hr depending on skill level and materials used.
How did you get started teaching?
I love what I do- I think it was just natural to me to want to share that passion with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages. I am a very patient, warm person, and I enjoy working with all types of students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Hmmmm...I really enjoyed a beginners class I taught at my property in the Poconos. It was plein air style, and being outside together but socially distanced and creating art from nature was thrilling.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone in love with what they do, willing to be patient, and that will help you laugh at yourself in the process. All art is wonderful, and you only get better with practice! :)
