About

Artist, Edward Buendia, is the founder of the non-profit “Eyes of the Innocent” An art program for children and older. Since 1975 he has taught over 5,000 children and adults in the fine arts. In addition to his expert teaching, he has a long history of establishing and collaborating on the development of socially valuable multi-disciplinary artistic initiatives. In 1970 he founded “Artistas del Barrio”, A collective of Young muralist in Southern California whose murals have taken on historical significance and influenced generations of muralists. He studied fine arts at the University of Oxford (Christ Church) In 1988. He was one of the Arts Commissioner in the City of Indio who co-created Coachella Arts and Music Festival in 1093. In 1996 he founded the Point Roberts Arts Foundation and the Point Roberts Art and Music Festival in Point Roberts Washington. Since December 2010 he has created over a hundred images in collaboration with NASA Award Wining DIGIVATIONS Insititute’s Co-founders Dr. Steven Bergman and Annie Deanne Bergman PHD. These images include illustrations for their Rockery Playbook, Sphere of Influence Game, and many other designs. Edward’s work has been purchased by private collectors around the world and he has a ever-growing circle of fans and admirers, from gang members and millionaires, priests to politicians. Edward Buendia has shown in Palm Springs California, and the Pacific Northwest and Canada. He has successfully worked with children in the mainstream public school system as well as autistic children. Edward’s artwork is permanently stored at the Ashmolean museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Oxford beside DaVinci and Michelangelo. As well as an art piece in the White House in Washington D.C. as part of the art collection.

He has 2 grown daughters, and currently travels the country drawing and painting with his wife Darlana and their dog SuxyQ.
