About
My name is Carly Todd. I've played softball since I could remember. I ended my playing career in 2017. I was a 4 year starter at Rutgers Univ. (New Brunswick) and from there in 2017. I'm currently the Head Coach of the Gloucester Catholic Softball team & I am an assitant coach in the NJ Gators Softball Organization. I enjoy working with athletes of all ages. My ultimate goal is to help my athletes get to their absolute best playing potential physically & mentally and to help them fall in love with the sport as I did.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I do my best to learn about all of my athletes as quickly as possible. I want to know their strengths & weaknesses of their phsyical and mental game. I try to use their strengths to help their weaknesses. I look to work on 1 weakness a lesson and as they get better with it, move to the next until we're eventually working on making our strengths better.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played softball since I could walk. I've played on the best travel teams in the area and played Big Ten (division 1 college) at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I am currently the head varisty softball coach at Gloucester Catholic and am an assistant coach at a top ranked travel ball organization, NJ Gators.

How did you get started teaching?
I've always had a great passion for the game. When my playing career ended, I wasn't ready to give it up totally so I got into coaching. I have a sister 9 years younger than me, so I've typically coached teams that she has been on. I started giving lessons shortly after and haven't been able to get away from it since!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with athletes of all ages, but primarily 14-older. I have a few athletes in college that when they come home will get as many lessons in that they can before going back.
