The thing that I love about coaching is watching kids be able to grow. One of my favorite things is the look on a kids face when they finally do something that they thought was impossible for them. It truly is incredibly gratifying, and that is why I love to coach.
Christian was an excellent coach to my daughter. She is high school aged and needed some help fine tuning her swing mechanics for the high school softball season. Christian was patient and spent the time to work with her in developing her swing and her overall confidence in her ability to play the game. I’d highly recommend him to anyone who needs softball or baseball lessons.
An amazing, all-around good person who brings smiles to everyone he coaches. One thing that I found Christian excels at is working with each individual player to not only deepen their understanding of the game but also improve on their character and moral fiber. Christian has allowed my child to excel in all different areas of his life both on and off the field. Soccer is a challenging sport and I was amazed at the improvements that my son saw almost immediately after starting to work with Christian as a private instructor. I can only hope and pray that there are more coaches out there like Christian Alfano because then not only would children and young men and women learn the game of soccer or basketball but would become better citizens of their community, country, and world.
Christian was great working with my son. He provided a fun environment for my son to develop his baseball skills while also being very attentive to his needs. He improved my son’s overall skill set on the baseball field and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a private coach.
The process is different for each kid that I work with. Typically, prior to starting I want to know the experience level that you have. Typically the first session will be a lot of basics to give me an idea of the skill level. From there, we will develop a plan to best develop your skills.
I have been coaching basketball, soccer and baseball since I was in high school, and I have worked with students in every grade level from kindergarten all the way through college athletics. I also have a B.A. from Montclair State in Family Science and Human Development. In that major, we focus a lot on the social and pschyological development of people of all ages including children and teenagers. I have found this very helpful in coaching because it helps me develop a relationship and better understand a player’s situation.
