About
Specializing in people and landscapes, I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years.
My work has won professional and artistic awards .
It has been included in fine art exhibitions,
encyclopedias, museum collections and has been
published in magazines around the world.
I love being able to re-create on paper my vision of what I see before my eyes. Being able to help others understand the technical aspects pf photography and helping them to put on paper their personal visions of the world.
many people think photography is magic,
and it is!
it is magic that can be understood
and explained. i enjoy that challenge.

assistants i was using when photographing weddings asked me to start teaching.

people who aleady have some knowlege of photography and reealize there is more to it than just pushing a button to "shoot" whatever is in front of them.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Mother's day function at a country club in Greenwich , Ct. We photographed family groups all day long and they went home with unique black and white images of their family. Love the people there. been doing it every year for ten years!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
i would say the student should look for someone whose work they admire and want to emulate. they should also make sure the instructor can understand them and relate to their particular needs. an instructor who is patient and fun is just as important as experienced. people having fun love learning, and instructors having fun love teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
