We are a 501(3) C charitable organization in Art & Poetry not a business and we have many volunteers. Also our Artists are the very best most hold Master Certificates and Bachelors. Our lessons are for the Master Artist or the beginning Artist. Our President, Barbara Iris Alsieux, was nominated to the United States Ambassador of Poetry and her work is on Art.com the highest juried Art on the internet. Barbara Alsieux was nominated and accepted by Who’s Who, nominated for a Wofford Award, nominated for Hall of Fame. Barbara Alsieux’s late mother, Ruth Etta Hurewitz, was her greatest mentor and she was painting at age 9; she helped her instruct the Girl Scouts.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start learning Water Color Painting first; even Master Artists never properly learned this in college and it is necessary to learn first to progress with all other Medias.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My late mother, Ruth Hurewitz, was a Master Artist and she instructed me in all Medias and was my greatest mentor. I was always in advanced Art Classes all throughout my Education.

$24.00 for a Water Color Lesson, and $36.00 for Acrylic or Oil.
How did you get started teaching?
As i already stated i started at age 9 working alongside my late mom instructing the Girl Scouts.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, Adults and Senior Citizens.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of my son, David Alsieux, who I instructed and he the most talented and is an upcoming Architect today.
