Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When starting with a new student, I assess their game to see what I'm working with, and address what is troubling them in their game, along with proper fundamentals and other advanced techniques.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an OPEN/Pro caliber player, Tri-State Hall of Fame Inductee.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lesson rates are $60 per hour. Group session rates vary depending on the number of students in attendance.
How did you get started teaching?
I remember the joy of learning the game, and wanted to inspire others in mastering the sport.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages ranging from 10-65.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently gave a lesson to a student who had a mental roadblock, where I showed them a method of tackling their problem. Their face lit up like a Christmas tree, and they've reached that moment of enlightenment, which I like to call the "ah-ha" moment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Any student looking for instruction must look for a lesson plan custom to each student, not just a set guideline.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students must be honest with themselves in thinking what area in their game needs the most help.
