I’ve had an amazing experience learning piano with Rob. He’s a fantastic teacher—super diligent, always punctual, and genuinely invested in helping you grow. What really sets him apart is how well he adapts to your learning style. He takes the time to understand how you learn best and explains concepts using context and analogies that actually connect to your personal interests, which makes everything click so much faster.

He knows how to strike the perfect balance between challenging you and encouraging you. He pushes you to be better while still making learning fun and motivating. He celebrates your wins, no matter how small, and when you hit a rough patch, he coaches you through it with patience and clarity instead of frustration.

Because of Rob, learning piano never feels like a chore—it makes you want to keep coming back and improving. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, supportive, and genuinely great piano teacher.

Rob brings a fresh approach to learning the piano. He is incredibly fluent in the fundamentals of technique and music theory. His teaching style is thoughtful, engaging, and passionate, which not only made learning new concepts and progressing very effective, but also made the entire journey quite enjoyable! My lessons with Rob have made me a more confident piano player with a better eye for sheet music and understanding of music theory that has enabled me to play with much greater freedom. 10/10 experience

Mr. Lapore created a relaxed environment but also found ways to make students motivated to succeed. Mr. Lapore was a positive influence and made each lesson memorable. I found myself remembering a lot from the lessons and would to motivated to practice everyday. He also caters his teaching style to the student and caters to their needs. I really wanted to learn “Mia and Sebastian’s Theme” from La La Land and Mr. Lapore was more than happy to teach me. I would absolutely recommend trying out some lessons!

From my first phone call to my very first lesson with Robert, I knew this new journey I was on of learning the art of piano was going to be such an enjoyable and rewarding experience. He has always shown such patience, kindness and understanding whether it be in scheduling, creating lessons specifically for you and your needs, helping you reach your goals, however big or small they may be, he helps you do just that. His positivity and encouragement throughout your lesson, will make what may seem like a challenge seem and exciting to learn. His keen attention to detail is incredible. His love for music, the art of the piano is so evident in his teaching, it has helped me to gain an even greater appreciation for it as well. Thank you for all you do Robert, I could go on and on but simply, he is the piano teacher we all need to have.

Robert is very understanding, patient, and qualified. He allows you to feel comfortable, and you play as if nobody was around. He has allowed and encouraged me to make tremendous progress over my short time with him, and I am grateful that i am able to have him as my teacher. Would definitely recommend him to anybody. I am fairly new to piano and he has made me feel a lot more comfortable on the piano while also challenging me at the same time.

Robert is a wonderfully skilled teacher! I’ve studied with piano teachers through the years, who haven’t been able to help make everything “ Click” for me. He’s patient, kind, and goes the extra mile. He’s also very nuanced at tailoring lessons for specific needs. Highly, Highly, recommend. If I could give way more than 5 stars, I would!
