Karen H. says, "In August, 2012, under Patrick’s guidance, I returned to piano study after a hiatus of 10 years. With infinite patience and great sense of humor, Patrick helped me rebuild my technique, expand my repertoire and regain my confidence as a pianist. As an educator myself, I can attest to the fact that Patrick has an excellent understanding of adult learners and their particular needs. I recommend him highly!" Read more

I teach not just the violin but music. I provide context. I teach some music theory and music history. I think it helps to understand what you are playing and where it came from. I have degrees in composition and music theory as well as undergraduate degrees in economics and philosophy. Also, I really emphasize sound. I think it's so important whether you're learning the violin at 6 or 60. Sound is so magical; it surrounds and stimulates us. You can feel the violin vibrate when you play it! I love the challenge of figuring out what will help different types of people understand the music and learn the instrument. Teaching both kids and adults...

Rachelle H. says, "My daughter Ashley loved working with Jenelle! She really nurtured the confidence in her voice and coaxed her out of her shell. I've noticed a change in both her voice and the way she performs. She also helped Ashley with her Honor Choir audition and helped her get accepted! Thank you Jenelle." Read more

I started playing a piano when I was six years old. I won many competition from South Korea. I hold bachelor of art in music with piano concentration from Nyack College. I teach students from Pre-k to high school and adults. Every year, my students prepare recital and they get chance to perform in front of their families and friends. I do not force my students to play only classic but i enjoy to teach pop songs when they request to do. When students want to challenge themselves, i help to prepare ABRSM test which is level test. I had few adults students who were beginner(does not have music background) and did not have lesson for long time....

Recent success stories from people in the Fort Lee area.

As a theory teacher, Patrick Kreeger possesses the exact teaching style the subject requires. Patience, availability for questions and dedication to my desire to learn best define my experience with Patrick. It was such dedication that also made him call me out when he didn’t think I was doing my best or was making careless mistakes. Perhaps this wouldn’t be that outstanding except that Patrick did all of this long distance; he was in Philadelphia and I was in Delaware. He was timely in mailing me assignments and tests, and even more so in grading and returning them. I learned more from him in the 2 years I studied with him than I did in my last year of theory in my undergrad at music school. If you have the opportunity to study with Patrick Kreeger, consider yourself lucky. You couldn’t find better quality teaching elsewhere.”

I had the privilege of studying piano with Margarita Zelenaia for several years before her move to New Jersey ended our lessons. She is a professional of the highest caliber, a gifted teacher, who encourages, explains, demonstrates, and guides the student to mastery across a wide musical repertoire. Margarita has the ability to teach students at all levels - from the beginner to the advanced level. Although I no longer enjoy her physical presence, I hear her words and see her notes, marked on the musical text, whenever I sit down at the piano. The hallmark of a master teacher is the ability to help the student develop strong piano technique, while simultaneously encouraging the student to appreciate what the music is trying to convey. Margarita Zelenaia has helped me to do both.

He was really understanding of what I wanted to learn and gave me the right tools to do so. He’s also great at explaining musical concepts, even on Zoom the lesson was super helpful.
