Greetings future students. I am a doctoral student at Teachers College, Columbia University in the art and art education program in teaching adult learners at the college level. However, I have been teaching visual art and graphic design at the high school level for over a decade. I look forward to being your instructor.
Services include teaching watercolor painting, acrylic painting, and oil painting.
I am also interested in teaching 1-point, 2-point, and 3-point perspective drawings as well if you are interested.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Please contact me via phone or email and we may set up an appointment for me to understand what you wish to learn and what you wish to accomplish. After that, I will provide you with a curriculum if you decide to start taking lessons with me and we will go from there.

How did you get started teaching?
In 2006, I started as a teaching artist at Savannah State University's Upward Bound Program. In that role, I taught 10 - 12 grade students who were college-bound. We explored different types of artmaking from geometric abstraction to collage making to traditional observational drawings in and out of the studio.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students range from High School learners to Adult learners.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for teachers that you wish to work with for an extended timeframe.
