Many children and adults when facing challenges may have trouble expressing themselves. As an art and photography teacher, it has been incredibly rewarding to help my students learn to express themselves through the arts.
As a special educator, I can help children and adults resolve reading and writing difficulties.
I am passionate about my own creativity and love to see others enjoy their own creativity as well. I enjoy working with my students if they have certain situations that they find challenging...in m experience I have seen my students of all ages overcome these challenges and express themselves through art and this is often what fuels my lessons.
Though Jackie has an advanced knowledge of photography, she patiently took the time to give me pointers that helped unlock the potential of my Canon T5 Rebel digital camera. In the 80/20 rule of tech etc, where 80 percent of the users only use 20% of the features, Jackie helped me to unlock enough of the 80% to really get fuller use of the camera and take better pictures. I'm considering some more lessons from her to unlock the rest of the potential, though her lessons put me on the path to teaching myself the rest.
I offer a 30 minute free consultation which includes an intake survey, which allows me to see what their interest/experience is in a particular subject ie: photography, art history. Next I like to create an outline of the initial lesson and the student can view this before our first session.
