My name is Jakub and I am currently a full scholarship holder at Manhattan School of Music, where I am doing my Master’s degree. In 2021 I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK with the first class honours.

All lessons are tailored to the students' needs.

I have completed the prestigious LRAM teaching course at the Royal Academy of Music in London and I would love to share my passion to music and pass my knowledge to others.

I teach all age groups and all levels (my youngest student is 3, I teach adults as well) My lessons are tailored specificаlly tо students` needs and I am happy to prepare you /your child for the exams (ABRSM and others).

I am also active musician in solo performance as well as in a chamber music and orchestra.

I was awarded many prizes at the international competitions in locations such as Dolny Kubin, Warsaw, Palmanova, Elbląg. My latest achievements include second prize at the Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition in St. Petersburg (2021), third prize at the II International Gustav Mahler Cello Competition in Jihlava (2020), first prize at the 4th North International Music Competition in Stockholm (2019), and first prize at the Bach Competition in Krakow (2018).

In recent years, I have performed in the UK, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and one of my recent solo performances includes Édouard Lalo Cello Concerto in D minor with the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra. I am currently a member of Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra and a substitute cellist of New World Symphony in Miami. In summer 2022 I was a fellow at the Music Academy of the West festival in Santa Barbara, California.

Teaching the cello and piano is my great passion.

I come from family with teaching tradition, since I remember I wanted to be like my mum and teach others, combining it with music is best thing ever happened to me :)

I love seeing satisfaction and happines on my students' face when they start noticing the results of their work and when they are finally able to play their favourite piece of music!

I have been having cello lessons, both online and in person, with Jakub since a year and a half ago as a beginner. I felt lucky that I have met such a talented musician and tutor.

Jakub is precise, dedicated, patient and skillful. His teaching contains many facets of playing cello, including the fundamental, the technical and the musical. He is good at explaining things in an imaginative way and knows how to select the right pieces to challenge the learner and help the student develop skills. In addition to giving feedback and teaching new techniques during the lessons, he always shows me how to practise effectively by myself.

I have contacted and met other cello tutors at the beginning. Jakub is the one who really thinks from the student’s perspective and understands the pace of an adult learner. The lessons I had are dense and informative. (He is experienced in teaching both children and adults and I am sure he is able to tailor the lesson to each individual).

Jakub is always positive and encouraging. I enjoyed every lesson we had together and look forward to the coming ones!
