About

I'm a young, working opera singer who just moved to New York to move forward in my career! I've been singing since before I could talk and began taking voice lessons as soon as my parents allowed it, so whether you're a 10-year-old with Broadway dreams like I was, or a grown-up professional who has always wanted to explore your musical side, I understand and appreciate your passion for music and can't wait to share it for you!

No matter what style of music you like to sing, it's important to learn classical technique to develop a healthy, full, sustainable sound. I have a strong background in musical theater and classical music, but would love to help you apply the same principles to whatever genre strikes your fancy; I have many students who sing popular music.

A little about my qualifications:

I graduated from Vassar College with my BA in Music and Italian in 2016. In addition to teaching privately out of my Central Harlem home, I teach voice and piano lessons as well as early childhood music classes at Bach to Rock music school in Mamaroneck, New York.

Frequently asked questions

Prior to our first lesson, I like to get a sense of who you are, what your musical background is, and what inspired you to seek out voice lessons. I'll come up with a plan for our first lesson based on what you tell me, and together we can create a long-term curriculum based on your goals and what you're hoping to gain from our lessons together. Can't read music yet? Great- in addition to focusing on technique and repertoire, we'll learn some music theory! Have tons of experience under your belt? Also great- we'll hone your technique and dig deeper into your musical exploration!

I have a BA in Music from Vassar College, as well as 13 years of studying voice under my belt.

For lessons in my Central Harlem home:

$75/hour

$60/45 minutes

$40/30 minutes

As a courtesy, I am pleased to offer your first lesson at a reduced rate of 50% off. This way, you can see how it goes and make sure we work well together before you decide to commit to my standard fees going forward.

For an additional fee, I may travel to your home for your lessons.

As a young singer trying to kickstart my career, teaching is a natural next step. I now have all of this knowledge bursting out of me that I can't wait to share with others who love to sing as much as I do! I've loved every minute of teaching so far, and can't wait to enjoy it for many years to come.

I've taught beginners of all ages and with different musical aspirations. It doesn't matter who you are or what you hope to achieve- though our musical journey together will be unique, the technique remains the same.

Know that you don't have to stick with the first teacher you try- it's important to find someone who you like as a person, whose teaching methods make sense to you, and who you look forward to learning from. Of course, I hope that I'm the teacher for you...but if not, I won't be offended! This is why I offer your first lesson at a reduced rate. We don't know each other yet, and I want you to have fun and feel comfortable when you're learning how to sing!

Ask yourself:

What are my musical goals? Am I singing just for fun, or do I have a certain achievement in mind?

What kind of music do I already like to sing? What kind of music am I open to exploring?

Do I feel any pain or discomfort when I sing? Where do I feel it?

How do I learn best? Will it help me to have things written out, or do I learn by hearing?
