I’ve been a performer and teacher since my teens first inspired by my Dad. He had a gorgeous tone and was my first teacher. I’ve been teaching privately and in the classroom for over twenty years currently i’m on staff at LaGuardia HS of Music and Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan I’m comfortable starting students from scratch or seasoned players. I live and went to school in New York, obtaining a BFA in Music from the City College of New York and a MM in Jazz Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music. As a trumpet player, I have played in a wide variety of musical settings, including jazz combos and big bands, concert bands and orchestras, Latin and salsa bands, and even the occasional rock band. I currently serve as a brass and piano instructor at several music schools in Queens and Long Island, and maintain my own active private teaching studio.
