Screenwriting Lessons By Jon Jones

Hi! Welcome! I provide lessons for those looking to establish, or develop, their skills in screenwriting for film and television. I've been writing and teaching writing professionally for several years now, winning two national screenwriting fellowships in 2020, earning my BS in Screenwriting/Film History at Brooklyn College, and an MFA at Columbia University Screenwriting and Film Directing. I also earned coveted roles at NBC's Saturday Night Live, CNN, Disney and Hulu. I'm currently set to attend an additional Master's program at The University of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire, UK in creative writing! As exciting as that all sounds, I have a passion for instruction and have the honor to teach screenwriting at the college level, where my goals have been to equip new and seasoned writers to improve their craft for story and character by connecting to their voice as a writer. As a cinephile, I work across every genre and format, and can teach proper formatting, structure, and how to create compelling narratives that will take your writing to the next level.
