About

My teaching approach: I’m a firm believer in thoroughly covering all subject matter, including music theory and staff and chord chart reading. Learned in acoustic, electric and bass guitar and piano instruction, I incorporate computer-aided teaching techniques to capture students’ attention and maintain a logbook of student progress, supplementing reports with digital images of each student’s technique. I’ve developed a chord specific teaching methodology and created my own teaching curriculum. I Offer points of motivation and obtainable objectives to encourage each student’s growth and developed a teaching system for challenging, attention deficit and neurologically challenged students. I pride myself on providing clear instruction and developing well thought out lesson and practice plans. My influences are: I have many influences. He was professional, personable and very knowledgable about his craft. I thoroughly enjoy the lessons, and I would highly recommend Mr. Tony Rivera as a guitar instructor.
