About

BACKGROUND

I earned a B.A., summa cum laude, from NYU in History and Political Science. In addition, I produced a 100-page honors thesis in History, thereby attaining the academic distinction of "highest honors" in History. The scholarship found a minor publication outlet, and it became a staple of my advisor's reading material from there on in for a lecture course he taught consistently.

Also minoring in Philosophy and Spanish Language, I gained a broad perspective of the liberal arts tradition, acquiring an unshakeable yearning to question, contemplate, probe, and adapt my writing to any requirement at any time.

Upon graduating, I served as an investigator for the City of New York, interviewing parties, collecting/analyzing evidence, and adjudicating, in comprehensive reports, alleged misconduct perpetrated by public officials.

After quickly ascending the ranks to team management, I led my 13-investigator team to ranking best in the agency in terms of quality of investigations and the expeditious nature in which each was conducted.

Following a few years of removal from the undergraduate experience, I then attended Georgetown University Law, earning my J.D. magna cum laude in 2018.

Never interested in practice, I immediately earned an adjunct faculty position the fall semester following graduation. In this role, I have taught courses across multiple disciplines: Politics, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, History, and Philosophy. I've been a lecturer to large introduction freshman courses while also teaching advanced undergraduate lectures and intimate seminars. Such seminars were engaged students in the process of exploring primary and secondary sources to synthesize their vision or perspective on relevant course themes. Finally, I've also taught doctrinal law courses and graduate seminars, the latter writing-intensive.

As I tutor several subjects online, on the side, I also participate in legal projects, work as a journal peer reviewer, and likely will produce learning content for students in the near future.

I took the SAT and the ACT to ensure I did not make the wrong choice. It was a lot of work, definitely. However, I turned to this guy -- Dan -- for both. He worked with me, creating stuff for me, and individualizing everything for me. I had a previous tutor who basically walked me through some of Khan Academy, and threw practice questions at me with little basis. And it was obvious she had just done this with everyone before me. Dan is like no other tutor, maybe even person, youll find. Work with him, invest the effort, follow his lead, and you will thrive.

So easy to work with. Gives you his all and more and never stops until you completely understand. 3 months of LSAT with him and went from 149 to 166! Probably the best tutor out there.

English is my second language, so I took on tutoring to improve my skills with Dan. He was EXTRAORDINARY. Dan improved my grammar and writing skills, helped me tone down my accent and worked to build my conversational skills. He will work toward your needs and develop materials just for you to address your weaknesses. I am so much more confident at work and socially, all thanks to Dan.

Worked with my 14 year old son on public speaking. Collaborated with him in developing speeches (helping my son’s writing skills in the process) and worked with him on every conceivable aspect of how to effectively deliver a speech or presentation. My son’s confidence after two or so months working with Dan went through the rough. He’s now on his HS debate team, loves every second of it, and thrives. All, really, thanks to Dan. Recommend without any reservation whatsoever.

Dan was my tutor. He helped me with an essay for a Philosophy class. He is the best writing tutor you could have! And the paper turned out awesome and I got an A!

Frequently asked questions

I look at each student as an individual with his or her own needs. That is why I tailor my my tutoring techniques and plan of study specifically for him or her.

Upon meeting a student, I first always go out of my way to form an open and friendly relationship, so that the student is comfortable not just sitting across from me but also in the question-asking process which is critical to learning.
