Ms. Mcnamee, is not only a gifted and talented artist, she is an amazing teacher as well. She freely shared techniques to help me pursue my love of art. She challenged my thinking in a very caring and gentle way while guiding me to discover new ways to approach working with various mediums. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discuss color, composition and simplification of forms in order to begin a painting. Experimentation of materials as the most important factor and not expecting perfection at the beginning. Process more important than outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor in art education, Fine Arts training st Miami University and Scenic Artist for movie industry as well as studied sculpture, printmaking and abstract art at the Art Students League in NYC.
