Hello students, I can offer you one on one on-line lessons during this time of social distancing. I do have a photography studio in Hoboken as well. I can teach you many areas of photography including: composition, lighting, how to use your Digital or Film SLR in manual mode so you can be your most creative. I will discuss lenses and make it fun and interesting.
I studied photography at New York University over 20 years ago and learned photography using film cameras.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would ask them what they would like to learn and start there. Then I would come up with a series of lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Photography from New York University. I also taught Photography at Union County Community College for their adult program.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught and developed an 8 week course at Union County Community College. I have also taught the Girls Scouts.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children from 9 years old and up to adults in their 50's.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A few months ago I had 17 girls scouts in my studio and I gave them a lesson on photography. I demonstrated how a slow shutter speed with fast movement of the subject can practically make someone disappear. They were so impressed.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Have an idea on what you want to learn and why you want to learn it. Make sure you feel comfortable with the teacher.
