About
I am a US Navy submarine veteran who spent 6 years training 18 year olds how to safely operate a nuclear reactor under water - I am very patient and I actively search for multiple ways to express any concept. I am a senior at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering where I major in Electrical Engineering. I am much older than my peers (due to being in the Navy), so I personally understand how it feels to be a student needing help - Mondays through Fridays I AM that student!
That moment where it "clicks" for the student. Be it a math concept they never understood and have been to afraid to ask about, or that giant increase in an SAT/ACT score.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Whatever the subject/issue is I always guide the student in deconstructing it to its most basic form. I want to make e sure they understand WHAT they are doing and WHY. Not the simple mechanics of solving it or memorizing a formula. It's more work for them in the short term, but pays off in the long run. And it teaches them how to study and learn for college and the rest of their lives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Nuclear Navy experience taught me patience, and how to relate complicated information in a simple, understandable way. Being an Electrical Engineering has honed my math knowledge, but more inportanly helped me empathize with the struggling student. I have also been a tutor in high demand in Morris county since January 2019 for virtually every subject, including the SAT/ACT.
