Artemis Lessons

Art in all media is the greatest form of personal and emotional expression. I believe all people have that ability to express within them and it simply takes a guiding hand to help draw it out to reach its full potential. That is my personal mission, to help all students put to paper what already exists in their mind.

My name is Nikki and I have been an instructor across many media for nearly ten years now, and of course I am always a student myself! Art is in my blood, I inherited the art-gene from my grandfather who was an avid oil painter. My favorite form of media include watercolor, acrylic paint, digital artistic creation (i.e., Adobe platforms), and I also love simply putting pen to paper - my favorite media of late have been Copic markers and Arteza Brush Pens. I was a student at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, where I learned the digital arts and fine tuned my fine arts and also learned photography and videography. After college, I went into marketing and digital design for nearly 5 years, for a music company and an architecture company, and now I am a digital creator of social content at an Orangetheory Fitness Studio, where I also teach!

I love teaching not just because I love seeing the joy on a students face when they make progress, but I am passionate about helping a student get through a rough patch where progress slows and guiding them on their way to their ah-hah moment.
