About
I have been tutoring math for 7 years at all levels . I teach Geometry,Basic Math, prealgebra , Algebra I , Algebra II , Trigonometry and Precalculus. I also prepare students for test prep in SAT, PSAT, SSAT, GED , GRE , ISSE , GMAT,ASVAB
and ACT. I was a Substitute Teacher in the Orange School District and Jersey Academy Charter School in Jersey City N.J.
I bring all teaching materials including books, pencils calculator etc. We wil concentrate on any problem you may have and estabilsh a strong foundation to continue to more advanced topics. I will build your knowledge one step at a time until you can understand more difficulte areas of your subject.
I love to share my knowledge and reasoning skills in Math and Science . At an early age I gained a love for Mathematics and Science because of the beauty of the reasoning skills involved in Math and Science and the practical apllication in our everyday technology such as Computers and everyday uses in our modern world. I enjoy teaching the reasoning skills involved in mathemathical concepts such as algebra and geometry. Learning analytical skills can be used in all branches of learning and education.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At first I get information related to the student's subject ,grade and topic he currently needs help with. I go over any problems or intruction on a particular problem or example he may need help with. sometimes a general instruction is needed on the topic he is studing . I will go in detail with any problem he maybe having with until we can move on with the next example.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In High School I studied Math and Science courses at the Honors level and competed on the math team in competition with other schools. I went on to study Engineering in college with mathematics and science courses. I worked as a substitute teacher in the Orange School District.

I charge an hourly rate for all my subjects.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a substitute teacher at the Orange school district and Jersey city Accademy Charter school in Jersey City , NJ.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages and grade levels,from grade school and High School to the college level. Subjects include Algebra,geometery, pre-calculus , calculus and standardized testing such as SAT and GRE .
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently passed the 1400 hours of tutoring time .
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for experience teaching the subject and a proving track record from previous students. I am new to this particular website and don't have many reviews yet but your are welcome to check my background on the wyzant website.
