    Frequently asked questions

First I like to understand my student and find out more about them as far as arts. This will bring a connection because conversations open up doors for people to share similar lifestyles and experiences. Next I try to understand  the situation as far as making sure that I teach my student to use what they have until they can afford better equipment because sometimes people give up just because they allow insecurities to bother them.

I'm my own teacher and student so this question is tricky for me. Growing up I couldn't afford photography classes and I was raised in lower class community so all I had was the internet. I watched videos after videos about filmmaking and photography and I became a pro within two years. I've won 3 film festival, 26 photography contests and now I have my own photo and video app in the Apple Store. I know many people want to hear something extraordinary, but it was me failing and getting back up that gave me my qualities as an artist.

Im pretty much flexible because I remember not being able to afford photography classes and to fix a problem you must become the solution. I like to work with the budget based on each situation.

Once my photography become popular on social media so many people asked me to teach them. I started doing classes in my studio apartment and also online privately with students.

Many social media influencers support my teaching because they love my style of photography. At this point of my life I can say that I had the opportunity to teach almost all types of students with different backgrounds, but mostly students of color because not many can afford art classes at the moment.

I enjoy doing my photography walks and photo Meetings. This is when groups of photographers come as one and we all do photography for each other. This opens up doors to learn and to teach people with the same level or skills such as myself.

Always make sure they actually do what they claim to be doing because so many people just want the money. You want a teacher with drive and love for the arts and who's willing to push you and not look at as a gold tree. Always ask questions and never be afraid to make sure they have respect for you as you should for them.

Understand that some teachers might be skilled but very old school, so you need to think about your style of arts and see if that teach it fit for it. If you like to get into mobile photography but your teacher is a old school indoor photographer, you cant expect  much to learn. Also think about feelings and emotions and how you speak to people, always be kind and humble and understanding that you're the student.
