About
As a coach, I feel it is vital to teach players not only fundamental soccer skills, such as passing, shooting, and dribbling, but social skills like discipline, patience, determination, and teamwork as well. I meet my players where they are, on their level, and teach them techniques in a way that they will learn best. I am clear and deliberate with my communication as well as concise. If a player isn’t grasping what I am trying to convey, I get creative with how I deliver the message to the player. I make it my mission to be the motivator each player needs and to always transmit positive energy. It is my goal in every session to create an engaging, fun atmosphere for everyone involved.
There is not one thing that I don’t enjoy about coaching soccer. It is my most favorite job and I have never felt more comfortable, more aligned, and more connected than when I am coaching. Coaching is a way for me to share and express my love of soccer. Seeing how far each kid has come, and how they learn to handle challenges, frustrations, and success is an extremely rewarding feeling. I thoroughly enjoy being there to support and create an environment that is fun, yet challenging for them to learn and grow in. I feel overwhelming pride when I look back at the videos I’ve taken from when my players just began to where they are now. I have also made lifelong friendships with both parents and kids I’ve coached and have incredible memories that make me smile SO big.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Creating an environment that is fun and positive is a typically where I like to begin. I want to help children fall in love with the game and forge a path towards lifelong participation, and this means teaching them how can enjoy themselves while playing soccer. Sessions that resemble a game and offer variation make sessions more enjoyable and this is what I intend to do. This makes it easier for children to learn, makes them eager to play, and increases their probability of staying in the game for life.
As a coach, I like to get to know my students as people, not just soccer players, and modify my methods to meet their individual needs. Every child is different, and they all learn and process information in different ways. Each of my students require different kinds of support and guidance. The aspects of their game that they need, or want, to work on will be unique to me. Therefore, a key part of my process for working with new students is getting to know their strengths and areas of weakness. By considering factors like a player’s age, ability, skill set, level of confidence, and the position they like to play, I can create appropriate challenges that help kids to grow and teach them to recognize their own improvement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from Kean Univerisity in Global Wellness & Fitness. I hold a D license in coaching. I have coached for 11+ years (clubs and privates).

5 players = $180

How did you get started teaching?
I started coaching when I was still in high school for a multi-sport program (Playmaker All Stars) that offered children an athletic and educational experience. I organized and ran programs with children ages 2 – 2nd grade in a structured, safe, and positive setting. I also ran and supervised parties that included baseball, basketball, floor hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and more. From there, I started to work camps and coach teams and I’ve been field ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children from 2 years of age up to adults in group and private sessions. Depending on their age and skill level, I design my lessons accordingly.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent event that comes to mind is watching the 2018 World Cup with my family in the hospital. My mother was in for an operation and my brothers, father, and I, all went to stay with her to watch the final match. And it was a great one!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would offer is to find a coach who has experience and passion! No two coaches are the same. Therefore, I would advise you to try a session or two and see how it goes!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Perhaps some questions to think through would be, what are my strengths and areas of weakness? And how do I learn best?
