About
Graduate of William Paterson University with honors, I hold a BA in Studio Arts. I teach private art classes to adults and children in both single and small group settings. I love helping people find their spark, and would be happy to help you find yours!
It’s wonderful watching students progress! That moment when a concept or technique clicks, and a student moves from “practicing” to “mastery” is so special- I love being able to aid in the facilitation of that moment!

Vicki is super nice..she is great at teaching technique and making art fun. Also, she is good at finding out what level her students are at and giving them projects that are appropriate for them. I would highly recommend her!!

Always enthusiastic and helpful. She is very knowledgeable about Japanese language, history, and culture and is eager to help others understand it all better.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start the process out by learning what their goals and experiences with art instruction are, and we discuss what their strengths and weaknesses are so that I can develop a strategy to help them become well-rounded artists.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a working artist! I own Urbane Gypsy Arts, a brand that focuses on sustainability by incorporating donated and salvaged materials into new works. I hold a BA in Studio Arts from William Paterson University, and have been teaching art both publicly and privately in the Morris-Bergan-Passaic area since 2010
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
As a parent myself, I understand that budgets vary from person to person. Please contact me to discuss the details of your particular situation.
How did you get started teaching?
Before I started teaching art, I was a store manager for nearly 10 years at Blockbuster Video. I spent a good portion of that career closing stores, and after expending so much time and energy dismantling those hubs where people could come together to share in the arts (movies, music and games), I vowed I would only ever work to build communities up through my art.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all age ranges, from children as young as 4, to adults. I have also worked with many people with special needs.
