What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We work with popular music and weave technique and theory into fun songs. This helps students to practice. Our students are in bands and put on great rock shows every few month.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our staff are all working musicians, many with Julliard and/or Berkley school of Music training. And many other music schools.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We offer a variety of plans of lessons and a band program.
How did you get started teaching?
The school started when a very smart music teacher realized how quickly students learn when given a professional performance environment. And it really does work. I have taught music for 20+ years and I have never seen kids develop like they do here.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every type of student imaginable. Young, Old and inbetween. As well as those who learn differantly.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have fantastic shows every 3 or 4 months.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try them out. Get a feel for the place overall and ask how long other student stay at the school. We have students who have been in our school for over 10 years. Its great to see them grow up.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about their expectations for lessons and how students progress.
