About

We specialize in formal portraits and fine art landscapes and street photography. I love photographing the face of people it tells the story of each person I meet.

I love everything about Photgraphy, I mean every thing. I never leave my home without some type of camera with me.

When I do a show I feel like each piece is a child of mine. They each show a little of what I am.

    Frequently asked questions

We meet for coffe in a public place and I ask the students to have a friend come with them for safety issues. I show them a few samples of my photography and look over there work. I review what is available to them so they know upfront what they will learn and what I expect from them.

I graduated from the Germain school of photography (now part of the New School) in Manhattan. Also Parsons school of Design. I teach several workshops during the year at several levels.

I charge $25 for each 1 hour lesson. I have no set time the classes will run. Normally the are between one to two hours. While during the class the students have use of all my studio equipment at no extra charge. I also take the students to work outside in different settings also no extra charge .

I started teaching when my son took a photography course in high school. The teacher was not ready for the digital world so I started working with him and a few classmates and they began to like the work they were handing in. All of them achieved A ‘s on the report cards .

From 18 to 85 years old. Of different skill level.

One of my students photographed her sisters wedding. I was with her just in case she needed help but she was great all were happy.

The student must feel comfortable with a teacher and the teacher must  feel the same. No matter what skill level you may be you can always learn. I ran into someome I worked with at a small workshop, I was there as a student. She was shocked to see me taking notes instead of giving information.  I asked her if she liked football and who was her number one QB, she named John Ellway. Great QB I said, but did she know that he worked with a QB coach? We can always learn more, listen to what others say grab that infon and try it.

What are there strength and weakness. Who is the Pro Photographer she likes the best and why. Who from the past he or see would like to have a cup and coffee with. I took a 3 week  course with Ansel Adams in the mid 1970's. He said there is no such thing as a bad photo there are only photographs that could use a littlle TLC.
