Steve Diaz is currently a Sergeant with over 10 years of Law Enforcement experience. With more than half of his career in Special Weapons and Tactics, he has an extensive background in training and operational planning. As an Assistant Team Leader, he is well versed in emergency response, tactics, and mission planning. He then went on to become a member of the Hostage Rescue Team and has responded to the most high-risk incidents in the North Jersey area. Steve is a training coordinator and instructor in various topics. As a certified Simunitions instructor, he brings the element of "force on force" and realism to scenario-based training. He is also a certified instructor of the Ballistic Shield, Patrol Rifle, holds a certification with the New Jersey Police Training Commission as a Firearms Instructor, and teaches Active Shooter Training to police recruits at the Police Academy. In 2019, Steve created the first Special Response Team for his agency. Aside from being an Assistant Team Leader for his regional S.W.A.T. Team, he is the Commander of his S.R.T. and continues to assist in the development of this specialized unit. Steve has attended various training venues across the country, including Prevention of and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents in Playas, New Mexico. He has trained with numerous ESU, SWAT, and law enforcement professionals; as well as Special Forces personnel. With an understanding of the current climate and the continued need for training, Steve is committed to assisting law enforcement and civilians in better preparing themselves for the most stressful situations with a "winning" mindset. What I enjoy the most is watching individuals develop and the confidence they build as they trade. Sometimes it's something as simple as breaking down the basics or helping them reach a new level.
