What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually get to know the learning style of my students and incorporate their interests in the material to make learning fun for them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for 5+ years at Kumon and tutored kids locally at the public library! I tutored kids with many subjects and all ages as well!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system is usually $45/hour no matter the amount of work to be done!
How did you get started teaching?
A relative of mine needed help with math so I offered to help her as math is a strong suit of mine!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and worked with them in all subjects! I have also worked with kids who are native to other countries and kids with special needs such as dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, hearing troubles, and speech troubles!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell a student to look for a teacher who seems knowledgeable and skilled in the area not to mention they should be passionate towards helping the student grow academically.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about their goals and where they want to be in terms of their learning.
