Tegan is a wonderful and patient art teacher. He kept the class laughing and offered each person valuable tips on how to translate an idea into real art !!

I sat in two tile art painting classes. They were excellent and fun! Tegan makes everyone feel comfortable to create beautiful art even though you aren’t very artistic. Had lots of fun too :) Would definitely recommend Tegan to everyone.

I have done tile art with Girl Scouts, adult tile art, and painting. Always had a fun time. Highly recommend 💜.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Meet with the instructor or have a telephone conversation with them. Ask to see photos or reviews. Go with your feelings ... if it feels right, you'll know. If you have hesitation or doubt about the connection, keep looking. You want to feel comfortable with your instructor.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Are you new to painting? What type of painting do you find interesting? What artist or piece of art stands out to you? What colors do you like? Do you prefer bold, bright colors or neutral/natural colors? What themes are interesting to you? What do you hope to achieve from this class?
