We offer lessons in Piano, Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele), Woodwinds (Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon), Brass (Trumpet, French Horn, Tuba, Trombone), Percussion, Voice, Music Theory, Jazz Studies and Performance, as well as film production and acting lessons!
We teach fun and personalized private lessons to students of all ages, levels, and styles at Strand Studios in Hackettstown, NJ. Weekly and monthly rates available. Students are invited participate in free recitals that are scheduled twice a year.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I receive a new student, the first thing we do is have conversation with them (or their parent) about their previous experience, if any, and what their goals are. From there, we figure out what we believe will be the best method to teach the student with and customize each students lessons to their personal goals. I like to see how my students learn best - visually, by hearing the songs being played, or by another way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are the only private music studio in the area with New Jersey Department of Education Certified Music Teachers. All our teachers are respected professionals in their field and offer extensive educational programs to fulfill your needs for short or long term study. We have 8 teachers, most of whom have advanced degrees in their field, willing to share their vast knowledge with you!

Lessons are $88/month for weekly, 30-minute lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I started taking private music lessons myself as a child. Music become my everything. I entered into college as a music major and started teaching private lessons part-time.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have given private lessons to students as young as 4. We work with students of all ages - such as children preparing to audition for school musical, orchestra, or band; teens auditioning for college, and adults who have never played before or who are looking to get back into music, as well as students with special needs!
