About

B.M., Cali School of Music

Hello, my name is Paulie Raucci, I am 22 years old, and I am a professional Pianist in the east coast area. I am from New Egypt, NJ and I graduated from Montclair State University at the Cali School of Music in 2025 with a degree in Jazz Performance Piano, and I have been teaching piano lessons for around 8 years now with over 45 students taught. I specialize in Jazz improvisation, as well as Music Theory, Jazz Theory, and Piano Technique, and much more concerning the students needs.

I always look forward to teaching my students of most ages. My biggest fulfillment in teaching is watching the student grow and return with questions and improvement from previous lessons. I know how to explain the mechanics behind what I do and am extremely passionate about it. I know how to adapt to who I am teaching and explain playing the piano in ways my students may have not heard before. I am very articulate and good at improving the child, teen, or adults skill level at a very high pace. My number one priority will always be the student.

I believe what separates me from other piano instructors is my personality and ways of connecting with the student. I am not here to waste anyone's time, I look to build genuine relationships with the student and check up on them throughout the week via phone. 70 percent of my value I bring is my skill level, and 30 percent is who I am. A student may not always want your typical elderly who's been playing their whole life and is looking to settle with teaching as a retirement job. I myself on the other hand deliver much more quality lessons and an experience for the child beyond what the piano brings.

I am looking forward to future clients and cannot wait to learn with you!

I have never met a more patient teacher—and being an educator myself, I’ve met a bunch! Paul doesn’t merely teach my two crazy kids how to play piano; Paul also incorporates values, habits for healthy work ethic, and music theory into their lessons. Most importantly, he is a huge proponent of growth mindset. He also encourages my children and me to reach out if we ever have questions or are confused about something. We just text him and he responds with an answer or a helpful video. He is an incredibly talented musician who also happens to be an incredibly talented teacher as well!
