About
I am only available in northern jersey area. I taught for many years in several colleges including University of Maryland in College Park MD, the National Academy of Design, the Cooper Union, and the New York University in NYC. I also had worked closely with special education children, with adults interested in arts and with recovering hospital patients. My personal art work are in the collections of the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, and in several major US and European museums. I had more than 20 individual art shows and my resume shows a lot of very positive press art reviews.
I try to make my students comfortable immediately. The art is a way to discover and enjoy one's identity and I encourage clearly that. The students may identify their favorite artist which helps with establish a personal creative vision. It could be a great artist as Michelangelo or the great comics' artist as Stan Lee. Hands on practice immediately provides a great satisfaction to beginners, intermediary or advanced students. An orientation of Master's schools ( example Renaissance ) or modern trends from the beginning of the century till today widens the students' vision. Anecdotes about the lives of great painters and sculptors brings further interest in the students learning. Also I try to help them to select their favorite or most fulfilling medium rather quickly - painting or sculpture or a drawing, and so on.
