I have to say that Michael has been a really wonderful mentor over the years. As a young photographer making the leap from assisting, he really went out of his way to give me guidance and support. From critically reviewing my portfolio to business advice and connecting me to other professionals in the field. I have always felt I could go to him for real words of wisdom. What I think really make Michaela great mentor is his ability to think in a full circle, connecting young photographers not only to highly accomplished professionals but also to photographers just starting out in their careers. Last year, he asked me to come and talk with a young group about my experience opening my own studio and the challenges I was facing at that stage in my career. He really thinks about the whole voyage that photographers must travel. Michael, thank you for all of your support, you are truly someone who gives back and offers so much to the photo community and especially to those of us starting out. You are not only an extremely talented photographer but a great inspiration! Thank you!
