Hello, My name is Cara and I am a self taught artist specializing in acrylic painting. I was not born an artist but my love of art helped me to become one. My heart really goes in to my art and it comes through when I am teaching. Although my instruction is thorough, I encourage each artist to find their own unique style so that they become strong enough to create on their own. You will LEARN technique not just follow along. With each student, I personize the lessons to their skill and personality. I am non conventional and easy going making my classes interesting and less “classroom”. I am open to have the student choose their subject rather than choosing all projects for them, making the experience more personal. My use of color and whimsical style is versatile for most tatstes and a great stepping stone to improve your artistic abilities as we move on to more advanced classes. We also experiment with different textures mediums and bases. Adolescent/Teen/Adult lessons available.
I truly enjoy watching the difference in perspectives come to life when someone creates a painting. Watching someone progress as an artist and self expression is awesome. To me, Art was an outlet and I love to share what I have learned along the way.
