About
Colorful Living Studio LLC-Ahava Farm were founded in 2018 as a compilation of my 30 years experience in the visual, performing, horticultural and literary arts along with a my lifelong commitment to the natural world-both plant and animal preservation. I offer a thorough knowlege of color, design, use of the mediums chosen, and art history to my students-the latter integral to placing their own work in a broad context.Art raises the self esteem of people engaged in creating- and beautifies our environment. I look forward to offering this skill and passion of mine to new students.
My horsemanship/equine assisted growth program offers students of all ages and abilities the opportunity to work intimately with horses at Ahava Farm on learning their modes of communication, moving safely with them on the ground and establishing jointly understood language. Thejoy of being n thse animals' presence raises self esteem, self awareness, and encourages being in the moment. An outstanding and valuable experience for all students!
I love interacting with my students in both the arts and horsemanship . I enjoy meeting new people and seeing their work develop. My goal is to give people a sense of creative freedom and mastery that will go with them throughout their lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students start with a variety of drawing exercises-along with some mixedmedia work to get the design, color, and imaginative processes warmed up. We move to paint soon thereafter and projects are assigned based on the student's primary visual interests.
