I am in NEW YORK CITY , a Curtis and Juilliard trained NEW YORK CITY based solo cellist who also plays with The NYPhilharmonic. If you are a beginner and DO NOT LIVE in NYC do not request me as I won’t teach beginners over zoom . If you do not want online lessons and DO NOT LIVE in NYC or willing to come, DO NOT SELECT ME. I have wasted a lot of money responding to clients who do not live near me, and do not qualify for online lessons. If you are not in NY and are GOOD for online lessons let me know in your message to me so I don't waste any more contact fees .

I specialize in helping young students with Juilliard Pre-college and college auditions , conservatory auditions, and help with stage fright and performance nerves .

I only accept students who can read music and have some training. If you don’t know how to read music I’m not a match for you.

Wendy is PHENOMENAL! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! As a teacher, she is thoughtful and extremely organized. She is brilliant and truly helps improve your playing, giving a mix of both technical and musical development. I know her students have gone on to do amazing things and have gotten into top programs such as Juilliard pre-college. I am always impressed by the way she approaches her teaching, really taking the time to understand the issues and help find a solution that works for the student. If you have a chance to study with Wendy, you will not be disappointed. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Wendy is an amazing teacher! I started learning the cello as an adult, and she’s been super supportive. She really focuses on technique, so if youre serious about improving, she’s great. If youre advanced, she’ll push you to the next level, but even if youre a beginner, she makes sure you build a solid foundation. Highly recommend!(and she has a cute dog:))

Patient but so professional and supportive. Learned so much in the right amounts and it gave me confidence and insight. With our daughter she had the same experience and moved from beginner to intermediate with very solid skills and abilities. It’s more than learning an instrument, it is about all these dimensions and facets of music that you can only get with certain people who know that much. We felt really lucky.
