What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Intially I assess where the student is, level wise, and then present materials to support them and help them to progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in music in my undergraduate years, I received a Master of Music in flute performance and then went on to earn my Doctorate of Musical Arts in flute.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

30 minutes: $65
45 minutes: $75
60 minutes: $85
How did you get started teaching?
A former teacher recommended to a NYC music school faculty.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with young children from as young as 4 years old, to adults who are 80+. In addition, I've worked with students who have never played the flute to masters level students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently performed some movements from Pierrot Lunaire in the 2017 faculty concert.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I feel that the first questions a student should ask a potential teacher are about a teacher's experience, education, teaching style/philosophy and expectations. If the answers are satisfactory, then a discussion of fee and scheduling is in order. You need to make sure you would be getting your time and money's worth.
