About this pro

I am a junior in high school, and am currently in my schools STEM program (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, & Math). I have already completed my required courses for high school and moving onto college courses, and I can help anyone in elementary, middle school, or high school with many different subjects. I try to keep my explanations down to earth as to not be confusing, but if needed, can really go into detail about certain topics. Due to my age, I can be easy to talk to, have a good sense of humor, and will be as friendly as possible. I'm on Discord, Google Meets, and Zoom if need be.

Very helpful! It was easy to follow with the sessions and has helped me improve in a short amount of time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Introduce myself, learn a bit about them and vice-versa, and ask about any subjects they are having difficulty in.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Peer group leadership, Volunteer Leadership, STEM Program, and multiple college programs.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Around 15~ dollars per hour, but can go lower.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been tutoring for a bunch of different reasons over past summers and school years, all the way since 2017

What types of students have you worked with?

I've taught fast learners, students who like to go step by step, and students who like to have a relaxed but productive pace.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I went to a 10 day Saturday program at Fairley Dickinson University called TEOP (A tech program that taught us lots of programming, engineering, etc.)

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure they are your type of teacher, if you need to go slow, make sure they don't pressure you to go onto the next lesson right away.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Make sure they know you aswell, for example, being able to realize when you're having trouble or not, that way you can easily talk to them about whatever problem your having.
