Teaching is at the intersection of mind and heart for me.... It is about a personal love of learning and sharing the joy of it with my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I take the approach of first asking pertinent questions to determine where to begin. Then, I normally schedule a lesson to ensure that the relationship feels comfortable for both parties -- with no obligation. If all goes well, I then approach the student on how they would like to move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess degrees in music (piano performance) and Russian, and had concentration in French in my studies (UNC Chapel Hill). My ESL training was through InLingua (based in Switzerland). In addition, I have a solid track record as an educator in various milieu -- K-12 public school, MS/US private school, college adjunct lecturer, and private instruction (Ross Enterprises/ Ravel Studios). I have most recently been a full faculty member at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School in NYC.
