I am a native Spanish speaker and I am a NYC certified educator.
I enjoy teaching and learning languages. Currently I am learning Japanese and I remember what it is like to encounter an unknown system.
We will enjoy our sessions and make them educational and fun.
I believe in the importance of learning multiple languages in creating multilingual and multicultural spaces.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is unique. First, we meet, parents and child, discuss goals, and assess proficiency.

I have been teaching for 13 years as a bilingual - English/Spamish educator.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching 13 years ago in NYC, however I worked for 5 years teaching middle and high school students in the Upward Bound Program.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with academically, language, and cognitive diverse learners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I shared many great stories with students over this past semester in school. I enjoyed our time together and their growth.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get to know the teacher and see if they are a good match. Discuss your goals and celebrate your achievements.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your strengths? How do you learn?
