Diany Lopez
About
Hi! I’m Diany López, and I’m originally from beautiful Costa Rica. My musical journey began when I was just a child, holding a violin that would eventually lead me to a lifelong passion. Today, I’m a certified Viola and Violin teacher through the University of Northwestern, with degrees in Violin Performance and Psychology. I’m fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and I’m currently learning Italian, because I love connecting with people through both music and language.
I’ve been playing the violin for over 28 years and teaching for more than 18 years. Alongside teaching, I’ve spent over 16 years performing live, writing original music, and recording professionally in the studio. Over the past 16 years, I’ve had the joy of performing live in countries such as Costa Rica, the USA, Mexico, Colombia, Nicaragua, Cuba, Georgia, Portugal, Armenia, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Albania, and Panama. Performing gives me the chance to express my love for music and dance, often with vibrant energy, movement, and stylish costumes that help bring the music to life.
Teaching, however, is one of my greatest joys. My passion for music inspired me to create my own music school, a place where students don’t just learn music, but truly fall in love with it. I believe deeply in the transformative power of music, and I strive to make every lesson joyful, inspiring, and full of encouragement. My goal is to create a lively, welcoming environment where students of all ages can grow, explore, and feel excited about their musical journey.
With my experience, qualifications, and heart for teaching, I’m here to help you not only play your instrument, but enjoy every moment of the process. 🎶
