About
My name is Diana Ioannides and I graduated from Hunter College with a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education (Birth-Grade 6) and I also have my Professional Teaching License in Literacy (Birth- Grade 6). Over the last few years, I have been working in both Independent and Catholic Schools as a SETSS Teacher in grades ranging from (Pre-K through Grade 8). Currently, I am working Full-Time as a SETSS Teacher Remotely Online at St.
Stephen of Hungary.
My service stands out because I believe strongly about making learning fun. I use a lot of hands on activities. I love to incorporate arts/crafts, dry erase boards, songs and various other techniques into my lessons.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is in three steps. First, I like to talk to the parents to discuss any questions or concerns they may have about their child. Second, I like to look over any recent school reports that a parent may have on their child. Lastly, I like to my first lesson getting to know my student including their favorite subject, least favorite subject, favorite hobby, favorite sport team, favorite book, favorite toy, ect...

My prices are negotiable. I usually charge $200 per hour but I'm willing to negotiate that price.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in my undergraduate school at Rider University in NJ. I also did my student teaching in first grade there. Afterwards, I came back to Manhattan where I started subbing at some public schools in my area that include P.S.6 and P.S. 158. Once I graduated from my Master's Program at Hunter College, I started working as a SETSS Teacher (Special Education Teacher Support Services) at various schools in the city ranging from public, catholic and private in areas that include Harlem as well as the Bronx.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a complete range of students with various learning disabilities.
