Juilliard trained. 30+ years of experience, Doctorate in violin performance, 27 years in the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under John Williams, Keith Lockhart and Arthur Fiedler. Have taught at all levels and venues, including Holy Cross College, Washington State U. and yet also teach youngsters, professionals and coach chamber music.
I like helping the student enjoy developing skill in technique and music. I want them to succeed and feel good about themselves.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have to become acquainted with their playing, if they have played before, and get to know them. We discuss what music they are interested in, and if they would like to learn several styles of playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have three degrees in music, a bachelors, masters and doctorate. I have a great deal of experience as a professional musician, having played in several professional orchestras, including the Boston Pops (27 yrs), as well as the San Antonio Symphony (4 years) and many others. I have taught at colleges and universities, as well as conservatories, and public schools.
