Hello! I am a contemporary abstract artist and art teacher in Madrid, New Mexico. After many years of teaching part time and selling my work on the weekends I opened Mad Contemporary Gallery and Art Center in 2023. I am currently hosting workshops, classes, and mentorship here as well as showing 10 local contemporary artists.

I have taught art in various capacities for 25 years and am a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1998). A few of the places I have taught at include; The Santa Fe Art Institute, The New Mexico School for the Arts, Warehouse 21, and Montana State University.

I teach all ages, and am happy to work with couples or small group classes as well. I provide a fun art experience and teach everything from the elements and principles of design to how to find your niche in art by developing a unique creative expression. I have a critical eye and will help you develop your mark. My specialty is abstract art and I offer an awesome abstract art workshop. I host open studio and drop in art making for folks to come and explore various art materials.
