Hello, my name is James Smith. I have played as a Right back and Midfielder professionally with CV Fuego (formerly Fresno Fuego FC) of the USL and collegiately for Allan Hancock College. As a player at the youth level, I was a California Olympic Development Program state team member and Regional camp invite.

I have coached primarily youth competitive soccer in California and have led my teams to numerous tournament, league, and State Cup championships.

As a personal trainer, I have worked with grassroots players all the way up to professional players. My biggest strength is my innate ability to recognize a player’s individual strengths and needs for improvement in strength, speed, technical skills (ball mastery), awareness, emotional and game intelligence. The game itself is simple but, a coaches best success should be measured by the way in which he or she can improve a player’s confidence and ability to perform consistently without fear. I pride myself on my ability to give excellent visual and verbal demonstrations and encouragement for the player to improve through repetition.
