Hey all you Cre8tives out there. My name is Christopher Brozek and I am a professional guitarist. I have a love for guitar and started playing at the age of 13 years old. I never put the guitar down from that point on. I taught myself how to read tablature and it is a proven theory of what I teach to my students. Do not overwhelm yourself with music notation at first. Students quit when you make studying feel like a job. I took Jazz theory in college and I was one of the lucky ones that had a great professor. I will teach you the fundamentals, tablature theory, and how you can find your own style on the guitar. Make sure you are dedicated. It took me a long time to get good at guitar and there is no hidden secret. The only secret is practice practice practice.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. As long as you have a guitar I can teach you, however I will be on an acoustic. It is preferred you have an acoustic guitar to.
2.We will start building finger and hand dexterity for beginners and intermediate guitar players. We will also go over all parts of the guitar and how to maintain your guitar. We will go over the fretboard and each individual note and string.REMEMBER THIS IS GEARED TO THE STUDENT WHO WANTS TO LEARN TABLATURE STYLE!
3.We will learn tablature and theory. I will teach you how it's ok to only know tablature and still play with jazz and blues players in any key.
4.We will start off learning famous scales like major and minors, pentatonic and more.
5.Remember you are not going to be great overnight. You are investing in yourself. I promise to have you playing gigs in less than a year though or I will treat you to an ice cream lol. Really though haha
6.We will learn fancy things like circle of fifths and make it cool and not boring like these other youtube teachers who bore you to death.
7.I will always let you pick a song of your choice to learn. I do not force feed you things.
8.Remember at first your fingers will hurt, you have to build calloused tips to your fingers. You need to know pain comes along with getting good.
9. Please have fun with it. I had a guitar teacher back in the day who would talk to his girlfriend during my session and I felt so lonely and left out. I will never do this to you and my students come first and I give you all the attention because you matter.
10.I will also teach how to string your guitar the right way.
11. I can also teach how to use and setup different recording equipment and software.
12. If you have a question just ask me please and I will try my best to help you and answer it.
13. I promise you all will thank me for teaching you tablature first. It is a game changer. With standard music notation you simply cannot see finger placement or where you are on the fretboard. With tablature you can! I will make you into a great guitar player through tablature!

Most important I know how to relay guitar to beginners to make them understand. I pride myself in being able to teach. You have the most accolades and be from the Berkeley school of music but that does not mean anything if you can't teach.
