About
As a firearms instructor qualifing students to obtain a Nevada Concealed Carry Permit, we offer small group training with lots of hands on training.
Most instructors in the Las Vegas area teach the bare minimum needed to qualify and expect you to already know how to fully operate a firearm. The classes often consist of an 8 hour power point lecture, with a short trip to the range. You won't learn much about using a gun, nor gain experience doing so. So being given a permit in that situation may put you more at risk.
With Nevada Shooter's Club, you will get instruction on the fundamentals of safe gun handling, and learn how to fully operate a firearm. Our classroom training focuses on building skill using a firearm rather than reading about it. We also cover a variety of shooting positions, drawing from a holster, and practicing everything we covered in the classroom.
As a result, you will leave the class learning valuable skills that can safe your life, feel confident in your ability to safely handle a firearm, and have fun!
Empowering people with the skills to defend themselves has been a life long passion of mine. I have spent over 25 years of my life devoted to self defense, from martial arts to firearms handling.
I find that the lessons learned from self defense, humility, respect, discipline, and self confidence translate to all areas of life. So even though we hope that we never have to exercise the use of our self defense skills, the virtues of training improve our quality of life and make us better for it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After a student registers, we send detailed instructions on what to bring to the class, what to expect, and address any questions they may have about the training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained in self defense for over 25 years, including training and teaching in Mixed Martial Arts. I have been a professional competitor and coach in the martial arts, and have taught thousands of people all across the world.
With firearms, I am a NRA certified Instructor in: Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Basic Shotgun, Basic Rifle, and a Chief Range Safety Officer.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching for over twenty years. Whether it was tutoring classmates in electrical engineering, or teaching mixed martial arts, I have a lot of experience working with hundreds of people in both conceptual and hands on fields.
As I focus on self defense, moving to teaching firearm safety was a natural progression. While I love martial arts, I realize that not everyone will participate in it. So teaching people how to safely and responsibly use a gun allows me to help those people protect themselves.
The most rewarding part of teaching for me is instilling people with confidence, and teaching people how to defend themselves and their loved ones is perhaps one of the greatest confidence boosters I know of.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students that have zero experience with guns, not even owning a gun at the time of the course as we provide rental guns for people in that situation.
I also have worked with people who have guns, but have no training and limited use.
Finally, I have worked with those that have a lot of experience, such as former service members of the US military.
Regardless of your level of experience, we can help train you, teaching you valuable skills and help reinforce your safety.
