I am 25 years as a teacher. I have professional experience in 14 different realms in art and have been teaching children with challenges, down syndrome, autism, deaf, cancer patients for the last 10. I have been a home school certified art teacher but welcome the seasoned artist at any age. I will help you tap into your most natural talent and make every step of the way is fun and with new discovery!!!
Art is my God given gift and in it I can express the way i see things, feel, and want to express myself. I love to share with others my experience of over 40 years of art approach and experience with anyone who wants to learn.
When I see a finished piece or though someone else, it s a great sense of accomplishment and joy.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Since we all have our own style and have different visions of what we see or feel, the best approach is to know where your student is coming from, know how they are and help them achieve their goal with the right approach in style and knowledge of materials. It is important to allow the artist to create within who they are, and guide them with the proper tools and direction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Father was a famous artist and worked in his gallery over 50 years. I am a chipoff the ole block and work in the same fashions he did. I was never school trained,all my talent is God given, I have made successful business in the arts, worked in Film, taught in colleges, home school,challenged students, evenraised my own children with my art. It is a part of who I am, not just what I do.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. Imost generally price from a lesson and go up from there. It will depend onwhich medium you want to learn. The more involved and demand in the training, themore the price, but i do nothold to just one hourall the time, if we are involved and progress is happening, then i generally make exceptions.
How did you get started teaching?
I was in the 5th grade and showed a watercolor i had done to my teacher.The very next month I was teaching my own class art and approach in acrylics. That was my very first sale.
What types of students have you worked with?
Young and old. I have taught children from kinder-gartenthrough high school, college and professionals, senior citizens (the young at heart)and many challengedstudentswith down syndrome,autism,cancer patients and deaf and blind.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a friend in California whom I discovered had a desire to paint, she was a usy mom with very little time to herself,but as she worked out the time shewould then askme pointers and she has been receiving my class online now for 8 months and has completed a few beautiful peices. We continue this today.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get to know your teacher abit before you continue leassons,it is important that characters aremutual, and there is a connection betweenstudent and teacher,or the training may notbe as received as much as you hoped
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Possibly how long they have been in the arts.
Do they enjoypaintingone thing inparticularly.
